Travel & Stay

Accommodations

For our Minnesota family and other guests traveling from afar, we recommend booking accommodations in one of these nearby areas for convenient access to the venue.

Placerville Hotels

(15-20 minutes to the venue)

Closest option to the venue with several hotel chains available. Placerville is a historic Gold Rush town with restaurants and shops within walking distance.

El Dorado Hills & Folsom Hotels

(25-40 minutes to the venue)

El Dorado Hills offers newer, more upscale hotels while Folsom has the most variety of accommodations and dining options. Historic Old Town Folsom and nearby Folsom Lake provide additional activities.

Airbnb/VRBO

If you're interested in sharing a larger rental in the area, we can help coordinate groups. This can be a cost-effective option, particularly for families traveling together.

Let us know when you RSVP if you'd like help coordinating group accommodations.

Getting Here

Sacramento Airport (SMF)

From the airport, it's about a 40 minute drive to the Folsom/El Dorado Hills area and 1 hour to Placerville.

Rental Car

Highly recommended for getting around the area and to the venue.

Jordan and Dale recommend Turo (like Airbnb for cars - you rent someone's personal car, usually cheaper than rental companies) for those who haven't heard of it.

We'd also be happy to coordinate grouping people together to share rental cars - let us know when you RSVP if you're interested in this.

For directions to the venue, please see Directions.
